Anyone for tennis?

I spotted this charming table decoration in a hospitality dining room at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships last week.

When we have the opportunity to cater for a large group or party at Fosse Farmhouse we will make our own simple and original decorations to enhance the table and create the mood.

During my BBC1 series “Cooking with Confidence” that was broadcast in the 90’s I dedicated part of the programme each week to creating atmosphere with table decorations and utilising unusual eating and drinking vessels such as slate roof tiles and ice bowls. There were also tips on making apple candles and salt dough mice. I love making craft items as much as I enjoy cooking and it is so much nicer to see something home made rather than shop bought.
